Yesterday was another public holiday.
And this time, we headed to my Grand Uncle's house in Bukit Jelutung, Shah Alam.
He just came back from his orchard & invited us to have a durian feast at his house.

Just look at these King of Fruits, dari jauh lagi dah terhidu keharumannya!
Yup, even with a full tummy (we just finished our breakfast), we managed to eat so many of these king!

Abah & my Grand Uncle choosing the durians

And before we went home,
my Grand Uncle asked us to bring home some of the durians too!
So later in the evening,
I prepared bubur/pengat pulut durian and mama prepared cucur durian for tea.

After awhile, I left the kitchen to let the boys setup the table for tea.

Then I heard mama calling out my name from the kitchen.
Haha, actually I put the beras pulut inside the rice cooker and I forgot to push the 'cook' button.
So belum boleh makan lagi, kena tunggu Pulut masak pulok,
sabaq naaa.

And the next morning,
everybody woke up with a massive headache due to durians overdose.
Well, A King is always a King. HE rules!

Nice

We had to cancel our trip to Singapore since mama had a lot of assignments to finish before Christmas.
Haa, who say a Freelancer is FREE? At times, she seems busier than those Full Timers!

But we still managed to have fun.
We decided to visit Sunway Lagoon..AGAIN.
Everything looks the same except the atmosphere is a bit different because it is the day after Christmas!

Comel2 dan handsome2 belako!

Just look at the Santarina. She is wearing heels and yet still shorter than me?
Am I too tall or is she too short? Hmm...

This time, Mama skipped all the roller coaster rides. Too tired I guess!

Then, off to the Wet Park.
We had an awesome time there!
We even went on the same slide more than once, sanggup beratur balik tu!

A really, really nice day!

Prayers answered.

It was a sunny day yesterday. No rain, not even a drizzle. Alhamdulillah. It was really a fun and enjoyable day. My convocation went well, no unwanted incident while I walked up the stage. (*at least not that I know of)

The best part was when I walked out of the hall and saw my parents, brothers, auntie and little cousins waiting for me.

The feeling..PRICELESS.

Can't thanked them enough.

All in the family.

My little cousins waited patiently for me. Just look at their tan & burn faces.
Love you guys so much.

And being 'us',
we cannot just stay quite or sit still for too long. It is time to go crazy with the boys:

2 years of struggling in a Fast Track Diploma of Accountancy program and I finally have my diploma scroll.
Now I have to complete another 2 years of my degree program and insya'Allah, I'll be walking up the stage again to collect my degree scroll.

But gotta work hard and good luck to me for that.
And I know my family & friends will always be there for me.

Pre-Graduation Dinner: Faculty of Accountancy

I know the excitement is over but I am going to write about it anyway. It does not seem right not to talk about it at all. After all, it is supposed to be one of the highlights in a college student’s life.
Yup, I am talking about the Pre-Graduation Dinner.
Well, mine was held on the 22nd of May 2011 at Shah Alam Convention Center. I know, it is like 2 months ago. Talk about being outdated huh! Well, better late than never!

All in all, it was fun and lively but best of all it is the JOY that can be seen on our faces having completed our diploma program in 2 years time. Yes, all the struggling and pain we endured during those 2 years finally pays off.
And I just read some good news in our newspaper, The Star today, 14th July 2011 and I now therefore confirmed that I have made the right choice in choosing Uitm to complete my Accounting studies and am definitely proud of the faculty achievements:
Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has become the first public university to receive the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Platinum Award for its professional accountancy tuition programmes.
You can read about this here

Enough said, here are some photos that I managed to upload.
I miss all of these familiar faces bunches!

Apa-apa pun, letak photo makan dulu!

Well, this is not the end of our journey.
We still have another 2 and a half years to complete our degree!

Bread Pudding with Custard Sauce - Yummyyzz

Okey, September is really a long way to go but I am not wasting my time waiting for it to come to me. So, like any normal college students, I will be spending the next 2 months getting some work experience before commencing with my degree for another 2 years.

I am lucky enough to be accepted to work as an Account Assistant at one of the office here in Shah Alam. My colleagues are so nice even my BOSS is such a sport! She even offered me to login into my Facebook during lunch time.

How Cool is that eh! Tapi masa kerja tak boleh online la

I have very little time to indulge in my hobby, cooking/sewing, nevertheless I managed to squeeze some time to bake a simple breakfast for the whole family last weekend, the Bread Pudding to accompany mama’s fried bihun.

The first thing to do is the most fun part of all. Take the bread and basically destroy them by tearing them apart. (ganasnye).

So here is the TORN faces of the bread. Masih dalam keadaan baik walaupun sudah di carik2. Can’t be that cruel kan?

Then, start feeling pity to these bread and pour some mixture of milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla to soothe these unlucky bread. Put some margarine and it is ready to hit the oven.

And wallah, here is the lovely bread pudding.

Don’t forget to prepare the custard sauce to go with this yummy pudding.

Now it is time to Dig-in and Enjoy!!!

Sprinkled With Love

ALL PHOTOS AND IMAGES IN THIS BLOG ARE PERSONAL PROPERTY AND PROPERTY OF ROADBLOCK FASHION STORE . USE OF THESE PHOTOS AND IMAGES WITHOUT OUR CONSENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

I know I will be very busy during the final exam week so I wrote this post much earlier. It is nothing interesting. It is just about cuppies. I went really crazy with cupcakes last year and I baked hundreds of them. (*Some of you might already seen these photos on my Facebook)

I was really into cupcakes but actually baking them is not the part that I enjoyed very much. Instead, I was really crazy when it comes to decorating them. I can really be artistic and creative.

I noticed children like cupcakes a lot. And I bet adults do too. When it comes to admiring cupcakes, both children and adult alike will go, “aaawwwww cantiknye”, “cute nye” but when it comes to indulging them, it is a different thing. The children will definitely go for them immediately. They will not only have one, two or three but more than that. But the adults, especially ladies, will have just one, the most. Why? They were counting the calories in their head. I don’t blame them, I did too!

I managed to sell some of these lovely cuppies (ordered by friends and families) but after a while it is hard to continue doing so since I was busy with college stuff. But I would still bake these lovely muffin lookalike cuties for my brothers and cousins.

Afterall, they are always willing to help me in the kitchen. Sometimes I have to bake this cupcakes until midnight and my brothers will accompany me either by being in the kitchen or just watching TV or playing the guitar. Whatever we do, it is never fun to work alone kan? Anything sprinkled with love will be fun!

UTP EduCamp 2011

My dearest brother is back after attending the UTP Educamp on the 20th and 21st of April. He opted for local studies instead of overseas when he filled-up the UTP application form. For those of you who will be going there next week, here are some info that might interest you.

On the first day, after registration and breakfast, my brother checked-in into his room at the Junior Hostel. He got a 2 bedded room. He was told that the building where he was staying was reserved for junior students. Once you get to senior year, you will be placed at another building which looks more like a really nice apartment block. Loyalty pays, that’s what they say!

* Junior Hostel

After that all the participants and parents were invited to a briefing about UTP and their scholarship programme at the Chancellor Hall.

* The Chancellor Hall

The afternoon was free and easy session for the participants to mingle around and visit the campus area. My brother managed to take some pictures there.

* The Library

*The Floating Mosque

At night, they have to sit for the Science and Math test. It is better to come prepared. Refresh you mind with all the Physics, Chemistry and Add Math formulas. Don’t forget to bring your calculator and 2B pencils.

On the second day, after breakfast they have to sit for IQ and English test. Then, they have to surrender all their certificates to UTP. Make sure you have all the copy of the certificates for all the achievements that you mentioned in your application form. Otherwise, you will be asked to fax the missing certificates to UTP later.

Then, come the fun part. Interview!! Yeay.

You will be divided into groups. My brother’s group received the case,’Crime Wave”. Each of the group member received a different set of recommendation to counter the Crime Wave. Each member will be called individually to explain whether he/she agree/disagree with the recommendation given and to give reasons for their agreement/disagreement to the panel. After that they had to discuss in groups and presented their opinion to the panel.

There is no right or wrong answer to the question. I guessed the panel just what to observe how you carry yourself and your communication skills.

So Good Luck to next week participants. You might have a different experience, nevertheless, All The Best To You Guys!

UPDATED JUNE 2011

I received some questions regarding this Educamp. I can only answer these questions based on my brother's experience. It may differ from other people. So here they are:

1. After the Educamp, my brother received an email asking him to take an online test. This test is to see your consistency in making your decision. It was conducted by a private consultant.

2. A week after that, he received a text message asking him to check his application result online. The verdict: He was offered Chemical Engineering Course. He will first enroll for AUSMAT at Intec, SHah Alam for 1.5 years and will pursue his degree in New Zealand thereafter. (*note: my brother applied for local UTP program but was offered overseas studies instead)

3. One week before the registration at INTEC, he received an invitation from PETRONAS to attend the award presentation ceremony for PETRONAS scholars held at UTP campus.

** This year Petronas received 7000 applications. 1000 students were offered to attend the Educamp. 300 students finally received the scholarship. 128 students will be pursing their studies overseas and the rest locally.

UPDATED FEBRUARY 2013

My brother successfully completed his AUSMAT in early November 2012 and received the offer letter from New Zealand to pursue his studies there.
He left for Auckland on the 20th of  February 2013 (Entry: Saying Good Bye to Aiman).
Congratulations to him, we are very happy and proud of him. Not everyone managed to secure a spot since it all depends on your results and you have a requirement to meet both from the University and Petronas. Some of his AUSMAT-mates failed to meet the University/Petronas requirements so they continue their studies locally.

Kat mana pun boleh berjaya asal kan terus berusaha.
Good luck to every one.

Beautiful Kalumpang

I miss the long holidays so much. I miss being together with all my siblings and most of all I miss my family trip to Kalumpang, Hulu Selangor last December which I enjoyed very much. Have you guys been there? Oh please do visit this beautiful place, you won’t be disappointed!

Private Resort

I love the serenity and tranquility of the place. We actually went to a private resort which belongs to my grand-uncle. Since it is a private resort, the place is not crowded at all and that made it fun and enjoyable for the whole family. Checkout these awesome photos!

Serene

Tranquil

We sure had a Lot of Fun swimming and playing in the cool water without any disturbance from outsiders. There is a resort nearby, that is, the Kalumpang resort but it was quite a distance away from this private resort.

 The Caretaker’s House

The Guest House

The Fish Pond

 The Swimming Pool.

The swimming pool was empty when we went there due to maintenance work. But it is not a big deal coz we have the rapids to enjoy.

A Pond with beautiful Swans

There is also a small pond with beautiful swans. But I dare not go near it because, I was afraid the swans will chase me. That's what they normally do when they see a stranger right?
And oh, there are orchards at the back of this private resort too! But again, we didn't get to explore the place because we were busy enjoying ourselves in the water!

Unique Landscape

And best of all,
check out the area around this private resort.
If this is not Unique, I don’t know what Is!!
